Patterns
AI Insight Pattern
The contract every engine-rendered card honours. Six clauses, no exceptions — this is what makes Peri's intelligence feel like one mind rather than six widgets.
Rules
- 01Interpretation first — title or sentence leads; scores are evidence.
- 02Confidence-adjusted language — direct at high confidence, hedged at low.
- 03Pattern vs Insight kept distinct in copy and counting.
- 04Provenance — “based on” + signals used, always present.
- 05Assumptions are actionable — each names its fix and opens the right log screen.
- 06Personal history outweighs generic cycle assumptions — phase is context, never headline.
Examples
High confidence
“Late luteal raises your recovery cost.” — direct causal framing, counted as an insight.
Low confidence
“Your cycle may be contributing to lower energy this week.” — hedged, shown as a pattern only.
Anti-patterns
What breaks this pattern
- A recommendation with no provenance line.
- Cycle phase presented as the primary driver of a low-capacity day.
- Confidence shown as a percentage (“73% sure”) — false precision.
Do
- ·Lead with the so-what
- ·Show the signals that fed the conclusion
- ·Hedge proportionally to evidence
Don't
- ·Dump engine internals on a card
- ·Use causal language at low confidence
- ·Recommend without a route to act
